Tesla VIN Report

Terms

The terms for using Tesla VIN Report, in plain words.

What a report is

The Factory Report shows Tesla's record of the car, read for the VIN you enter: how it was built, plus some changes Tesla has recorded since. It is not an inspection: it says nothing about mileage, accidents, repairs or the battery's health today. Recalls are listed per model and year, from NHTSA, not per car.

Benefits can change

Tesla can change or withdraw free Supercharging, Premium Connectivity, Full Self-Driving and other benefits at any time, including after a sale. A code on Tesla's record is evidence of what was granted, not a promise that it is active today. Ask the seller to show it in their Tesla app before you rely on it.

The Live Diagnostic

It reads the car with its owner's approval, through Tesla's own access request, and changes no setting on the car; while it is connected, the car shows a notice that a service session is active. It shows what the car reports at the time of the reading.

Independence

Tesla VIN Report is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Tesla, Inc. Tesla and its model names are Tesla's trademarks.

Paying

A report is paid for once, by card through Stripe, or with a credit. One credit is one Factory Report, for any Tesla VIN, and credits do not expire. A report's link is permanent, and anyone you send it to can open it.

Refunds

If a report fails you, you get your money back: the refund policy says how.

Fair use

Look up cars one at a time, yourself or through an AI assistant asking for you. Scripted or bulk lookups are not allowed.

Liability

Reports are provided as read from Tesla's and NHTSA's records. If one is wrong, the remedy is your money back. Liability is limited to the price paid for the report.
